My clay story

Clay, in its many forms has been my life for 20 years. I love this complex medium and continue to explore its endless possibilities.

Clay can be smooth, elastic and white like porcelain, or dark and rough on your hands with grit like stoneware. Each offers different ways it can be used that show off its individual properties. The simple act of changing clay can open up new inspiration.

Most of my work is thrown on the wheel, either lifted off and left as it is, or pressed, cut, and reassembled to create something new. I see the wheel as a tool I can use, and it is fun.
